      4G
      Feature Requests
Hi all. I have a question. I have the app working well on my Samsung Watch 3 but only if my watch is in bluetooth range. My watch is 4G too. Can it work on 4G if I have left my phone behind? I tried turning off my phone and it gave me a new link for setup and then asked for bluetooth connection. If thjs worked independently after initial setup it would be brilliant 5 out of 5.

2 methods to listen to music through the talk to alexa app
      Tips and Tricks
Hey everybody! To get started playing music using the talk to alexa app (at least with these 2 methods that I discovered) you will need a computer, a laptop or some other device that can be used as a server (like some android tv boxes for example). The job of your server device is to hold all of your music, and share it to you through the alexa app (using internet of course). The first method has a price (and is the best method in my opinion). Method 2 has no price ***IF ANYBODY NEEDS HELP OR HAS ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW*** Method 1: Using "My Media" skill In order to setup this server on your computer or other device, begin by going into the alexa app on your phone and enabling the my media skill. There will be a link in the skills description that you need to go to on your computer in order to setup your server. Follow the rest of the instructions given by the developer after completing these 2 steps to finish setting up your server. After you do this, you will be able to voice control any music that you own through the talk to alexa app, and it will continue to play music in the background/ with your watch locked. Extra notes: This is my favorite method for a few reasons. The first is that when you play music on an alexa device for the first time, you can go to the my media server on your computer and name each alexa device you have. Second, you can simply say "open my media" to play all of your music on your server instead of one specific song. Third, this server does support any cover photos that you have on the music you own, meaning your cover photos will show on echo shows and I believe firesticks as well. Fourth, this server supports shuffle, I don't believe plex does (ill get to that below) *This skill costs $5 per year for one server and $10 dollars per year for 2 servers, but this skill does have a one week trial so you can test this out before buying* Method 2: Using the "Plex" app In order to setup this server, once again begin by going to the alexa app on your phone and enabling the plex skill. Download plex on your computer and upload the music you own to this server (there are very simple tutorials to do this online if you look). This music will now be available to play on the talk to alexa app. Extra notes: This app, once again, is completely free to use, making this a great option for many. On the other hand, I have experienced a problem using plex when I try to play all of my music at once. When I say "tell plex to play some music" I get the response "I'm sorry but you don't have enough music to build a radio station for your music library." I've looked up this issue, and many users have this problem, so I wanted to let you all know in advance. Also because of this, I cannot shuffle my music library (if plex does support shuffle), I can only voice control individual songs. This can be quite frustrating, hence the reason I suggest the my media skill before plex.
